Please note: This job is hybrid and requires that you come into our office a few times a week or when necessary.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement the structure and organization of content and data within an organization to enable knowledge and data management architectures where information is intuitively discoverable, reusable, and maintainable
  • Lead the identification of technical requirements, work with business consultants to identify business requirements, and design and validate solutions which meet those requirements for enterprise level applications
  • Architect complex solution architectures made up of integrations between multiple systems and platforms that are used to create, store, and distribute organizational knowledge including search, data platforms, content management systems (CMS), taxonomy and metadata management systems, graph databases, and other related technologies
  • Develop semantic data and metadata representations and design pipelines  for data flow from one system to another
  • Define technical workstreams and develop backlog items for junior developers
  • Provide guidance to Project Manager on aligning technical solutions with strategic needs
  • Assist Project Manager in identifying and communicating technical risks, and helping to ensure the project optimizes knowledge management and business outcomes
  • Lead strategic solution architecture to maximize business outcomes and ROI for client organizations
  • Mentor and grow junior solution architects and software engineers to build overall team capacity

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience architecting technical solutions and implementation 
  • Experience using visual diagramming tools to convey logical and process architecture diagrams
  • Experience implementing scalable, reliable and secure solutions in cloud/hybrid environments following DevOps best practices
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating engaging focus groups, interviews, and user research sessions to understand complex business and technical requirements which impact solution architecture
  • Expertise gathering and elaborating technical requirements related to content/data management systems, and other related technologies
  • Proven ability to facilitate enterprise-wide alignment on technical requirements

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or equivalent professional experience
  • Understanding of data models and domain modeling 
  • Understanding of security best practices and technologies and how they can be applied to provide authentication and authorization
  • Familiarity with the major cloud environments (AWS, Azure) in regards to the services they provide and deploying solutions to them
  • Experience architecting solutions leveraging FedRAMPed technologies and secure Federal environments
