Enterprise Knowledge is seeking a Federal Business Development Lead who will be responsible for identifying and shaping targeted opportunities and driving sales and marketing initiatives for our rapidly growing organization.

As the Federal Business Development lead, you will be a motivated individual to guide the entire lifecycle of Federal sales, including opportunity identification and development, capture, partnering, positioning, RFI/RFP response, proposal management, compliance checking, and orals preparation. You will collaborate heavily with stakeholders to understand and respond to competition, pricing, proposal development, and contract negotiations.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Identify and evaluate new markets and partnership opportunities for EK.

  • Generate new leads, identify and contact decision-makers, screen potential business opportunities, and lead and facilitate presentation logistics.

  • Shape Federal opportunities to be released in ways favorable to EK.

  • Help lead the proposal response process, including detailed RFP requirements.

  • Draft business plans, sales pitches, presentations, and other documents as required.

  • Establish and report on strategic targets and metrics to measure the achievement of objectives.

  • Enhance and execute the company's federal business development strategy, including identifying and capturing new markets and customers, evaluating growth opportunities, and creating marketing plans to support sales efforts.

  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and potential threats to the company's growth objectives.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and partners, identifying the key decision-makers and their needs for further growth.

  • Articulate company position and differentiating value proposition.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in Federal Business Development and Sales (preferably within a Consulting organization.

  • Strong leadership, project management, and time management skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive data-based decisions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Experience with systems including FBO.gov, GovWin IQ, and e-Buy.

  • Experience in government financial agencies is highly desirable, but not required.
