Enterprise Knowledge (EK) is hiring a Data Management Consultant to join our growing Advanced Data & Enterprise AI Practice. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for managing the design and implementation of cutting-edge data discovery, integration, and data management solutions for a wide range of organizations around the world. As a Data Management Consultant, you will apply your skills to create data governance plans, develop and implement solutions, and build world-class analytic capabilities for our clients. You will continually innovate and pioneer the use of new technologies and drive the adoption of these amongst a collaborative team of consultants and engineers. You will have ownership of data management projects, manage client expectations, and drive delivery with the appropriate stakeholders.

This role requires that you be in the office a few days a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients in all aspects of the planning and implementation of their data management and governance strategies

  • Facilitate discussions to understand client needs to provide advisory/consulting on data management and governance best practices and translate to technical requirements for solution design and implementation

  • Serve as a SME to the client on data management and governance concepts and the benefits of data governance policies, procedures, tools, and deliverables including development of enterprise data strategies, implementation and adoption processes, and data governance policies and procedures to keep pace with evolving business needs

  • Inform clients on best practices when implementing a data management strategy across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments

  • Partner with data researchers, analysts and cross-functional teams to develop methods that improve discovery, collection, cleansing, and refinement of data needed for analysis and modeling

  • Operate in a cloud environment and assess environment specifications and requirements for implementing data management solutions

  • Implement the appropriate design patterns while optimizing performance, cost, security, and scale and end-user experience

  • Work with data subject matter experts and business users to effectively understand and model their domain of knowledge into data solutions

  • Support a variety of business intelligence projects using AI-based solutions

  • Analyze, process, and extract valuable insights from complex datasets

  • Develop reporting and data visualizations

  • Work with internal and external teams to contextualize data management work into a larger program context 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in math, statistics, economics, data science, computer science, or related field

  • 4+ years of experience designing and planning data management, or advanced analytics projects to meet business requirements 

  • Proven experience working directly with clients, providing briefings, facilitating meetings, and presenting work product

  • Experience owning and managing a full pipeline within a large project, including interfacing with business stakeholders, architects and senior leadership to effectively communicate status and concerns

  • Experience designing and working with relational databases

  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies

  • Understanding of relevance of programming languages such as Python, R, or similar for data analysis and modeling

  • Experience and familiarity with data modeling, resolving data silos, and cloud migrations

  • Willingness and ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance 

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience designing and working with graph databases 

  • Experience setting up and working with data catalogs, MDMs or other data management tools

  • Familiarity with software engineering principles around testing, code reviews and deployment
